Kindness and Positivity In A Negative World

It seems that everywhere you look, we’re being hit with negative news.

Whether it’s the war in Ukraine, inflation, Covid, or crime… The list goes on and on.

What can we do to avoid negativity?

How can we “see the light?”

That’s where my guest, Brielle Wohlenhaus, comes in!

Brielle and I discussed so many great ideas in this episode including some information about an upcoming event that the two of us, along with our partners, Rachel Beck and Will Sullivan will be doing on November 10, 2022, in New York City.  If you’d like more information on that event, please go to https://pxl.to/nov10nyc.

Among the topics we discussed were ideas around “what is success?” and how Brielle has such a grip on “adulting” with her understanding of the business world, boundaries, and how to control her time to make it work for her.

00:00:02.000 –> 00:00:10.000
Hello and welcome to another episode of MOJO: The Meaning of Life and Business. On today’s program,

00:00:10.000 –> 00:00:19.000
we’re going to be talking about what we’re doing for that next generation.

00:00:19.000 –> 00:00:36.000
What we’re doing. people around us. Why, we do what we do for people around us with a focus on kindness and positivity coming from someone of a younger generation, which is really gonna be an interesting conversation.

00:00:36.000 –> 00:00:45.000
I think, for all of us, as we think about where we are today, especially as of the day.

00:00:45.000 –> 00:01:02.000
This recording, and a really divided world before I bring my guest in. Let me tell you a little bit about her, though. so you know where we’re coming from, and why I think real is going to be such a great guess for us to be talking

00:01:02.000 –> 00:01:08.000
about this topic. Brielle Wohlenhaus is a well-represented voice for her generation.

00:01:08.000 –> 00:01:16.000
She empowers young individuals to unlock their full potential by making wise decisions for their future.

00:01:16.000 –> 00:01:29.000
She strives her excellence in all areas of life and possesses valueable skills, such as exemplary work, ethic communication and leadership real.

00:01:29.000 –> 00:01:51.000
That is a great bio, and I love being able to share that because it’s so rare that somebody, especially if your generation is really focused on that instead of being a tiktok influencer or a Youtube influencer So I first of all

00:01:51.000 –> 00:01:59.000
want to commend you yay and thank you for being my guest today.

00:01:59.000 –> 00:02:03.000
Absolutely thank you for that warm introduction, and I absolutely agree.

00:02:03.000 –> 00:02:20.000
And that is exactly why i’m doing what i’m doing is so. I can differentiate myself from those certain influencers who, you know our what I would say just a part of the majority at this age.

00:02:20.000 –> 00:02:28.000
And just so that we’re clear when we say age you’re still in undergrad right?

00:02:28.000 –> 00:02:35.000
Yes, so I turn 22 not that long ago, and I am still making my way through college here.

00:02:35.000 –> 00:02:43.000
I’ve been in college for a couple of years i’m finishing my degree, wrapping that up in the next year, and then onto bigger better things.

00:02:43.000 –> 00:03:01.000
But in the meantime, you know, working on some big things, as you know, and I love like I said, how your focused on the bigger picture, especially being so young and amazing.

00:03:01.000 –> 00:03:11.000
I mean a lot of kids like we said they’re focused on certain kinds of things that they’re really interested in, and they’re normally not interested in.

00:03:11.000 –> 00:03:16.000
We really being involved in the community being focused on the long term, right?

00:03:16.000 –> 00:03:21.000
A lot of kids are, hey? i’m in college i’m going to enjoy my college days.

00:03:21.000 –> 00:03:27.000
I’m going partying i’m doing this i’m doing that, and not to say that maybe you are not doing that.

00:03:27.000 –> 00:03:39.000
But where did you get the push, if you will, to start saying, this is really what I need to do to separate me from everyone else.

00:03:39.000 –> 00:03:45.000
I mean you mentioned separating yourself. But what made you realize that you needed to do that?

00:03:45.000 –> 00:03:52.000
What put you on that trajectory i’d say there are various factors that play into that.

00:03:52.000 –> 00:03:56.000
But the biggest thing would be from a young age, I would say.

00:03:56.000 –> 00:04:05.000
Starting at 16 I started to implement the right systems, the right habits each and every day that would get me there.

00:04:05.000 –> 00:04:18.000
I remember, in high school again. even my Freshman year I would get out. Invite in Habrio let’s do this. Let’s go out and party do that, and I just no I not been to said thank you, no thank you

00:04:18.000 –> 00:04:29.000
didn’t involve didn’t get involved in the drinking the smoking What I call this repetition of a lifestyle that just ultimately wasn’t going to get me to where I wanted to be and i’d get made fun of for

00:04:29.000 –> 00:04:40.000
it ridicule. But even from that young age I envision my future, and I just had this deeper feeling that I was destined for something greater than that.

00:04:40.000 –> 00:04:46.000
And those same people are going to be in the same spot where they are at my age now doing those same things.

00:04:46.000 –> 00:04:55.000
So that’s my biggest thing is those systems each and every day and sticking to them, being consistent with them and setting boundaries.

00:04:55.000 –> 00:05:04.000
That’s my other huge thing. Do you set boundaries that are going to have tremendous benefits for your futures.

00:05:04.000 –> 00:05:20.000
Are you constantly saying yeses to to people things and whatnot when maybe you shouldn’t be so, I would say on top of those 2 things, just really sitting down with yourself and asking, what do I want out of my life and what is

00:05:20.000 –> 00:05:37.000
it going to take to get there. And I have to say that when you said having the boundaries and having the foresight to say, maybe i’m not gonna say yes right now.

00:05:37.000 –> 00:05:58.000
So key, because even at my age, and people of my contemporaries, we still have a problem sometimes saying no when we’re asked certain things, and it’s great that you’re looking at it and saying well it may not make sense, having those

00:05:58.000 –> 00:06:07.000
boundaries, and I know and I can call him out and briel you’re actually gonna get to meet him in a couple of weeks when we see each other.

00:06:07.000 –> 00:06:18.000
Cause I already told him he’s coming with me to our event. we’re going to be doing in New York City on November the tenth, and we’ll discuss that a little bit later.

00:06:18.000 –> 00:06:30.000
I he’s one of my absolute closest and dearest friends, and I pull them ones that I can remember.

00:06:30.000 –> 00:06:44.000
No, and that was when he was trying to get me involved in yet another organization. and I said, I just I can’t and it’s extremely hard saying no, especially the people like that because you always want to do more and I think women

00:06:44.000 –> 00:06:52.000
are especially want to be there to say yes, because we’re always in that giving mode.

00:06:52.000 –> 00:07:03.000
We’re not in the taking mode and so it’s I think more difficult, especially as women to be thinking in that regard.

00:07:03.000 –> 00:07:09.000
Let me shift a little bit. so you are out there you’re making a difference.

00:07:09.000 –> 00:07:14.000
You’re doing so much in terms of what you’re really trying to do.

00:07:14.000 –> 00:07:20.000
Hmm! We went through what it was a little bit, you know, that made you decide.

00:07:20.000 –> 00:07:32.000
This is working, and I know in your heart is a huge piece what really drives you.

00:07:32.000 –> 00:07:43.000
So and it’s great that that’s what’s driving you and your faith, and all of that is behind you to keep giving you that push.

00:07:43.000 –> 00:07:47.000
But when you think about it, what does it mean to you?

00:07:47.000 –> 00:07:52.000
Though I mean, we can get into this really existential kind of conversation.

00:07:52.000 –> 00:08:03.000
And on this topic But if we look at it on a high level, though I mean, what is it that’s really There, that’s you.

00:08:03.000 –> 00:08:20.000
So I definitely have my wise in life but as you just mentioned about the giving aspect is, I’ve always been such a giver times, or it’s been too much And again with those boundaries I had to skill back and realize okay is this

00:08:20.000 –> 00:08:23.000
relationship reciprocal no it’s not so I like go.

00:08:23.000 –> 00:08:28.000
However, that’s always going to be there with me as I just. I have a heart to give.

00:08:28.000 –> 00:08:37.000
I have a heart to help and that’s where the kindness and and positivity coincides with that I genuinely want to help people succeed.

00:08:37.000 –> 00:08:40.000
That’s why we’re right now i’m doing everything i’m doing for free.

00:08:40.000 –> 00:08:52.000
You know i’m part of the entrepreneurship Club at my school, and we’re helping people are giving them the guidance, the resources, and the leadership to succeed and do great things in This world and everything on

00:08:52.000 –> 00:09:05.000
linkedin that i’m doing same thing you know I notice that’s a huge differentiator with the people who stay stuck is they go into things with the gimme gimmick gimme what can I get

00:09:05.000 –> 00:09:12.000
mentality, and that’s not going to get you far in life? You know, when you go into things with the what can I do for you?

00:09:12.000 –> 00:09:19.000
How can I help you? those types of people are gonna succeed in this world? Absolutely.

00:09:19.000 –> 00:09:43.000
It’s all about the let me lead with value and let me lead with purpose before the let me take, because when you take as the very first thing a very different situation, and I have to say though that when you are in a position.

00:09:43.000 –> 00:09:55.000
of taking when you come from a position of giving sometimes it gets overwhelming and have shared this only a handful of times.

00:09:55.000 –> 00:10:03.000
But i’ll share it with you really quickly. here. several years ago, when I was going through my divorce.

00:10:03.000 –> 00:10:09.000
It was a really rough time, as anyone who has gone through divorce.

00:10:09.000 –> 00:10:21.000
Then imagine. Unfortunately for me, I spent 4 years dealing with the legal system in my divorce, and it’s hooked way too long.

00:10:21.000 –> 00:10:24.000
Only ones that one were the attorneys on the court.

00:10:24.000 –> 00:10:33.000
The kids obviously are ones that lost. But there was a an event that I went To couple months before I happened to speak.

00:10:33.000 –> 00:10:51.000
At that event, and I was there, and the speaker happened to be in her ninth month of pregnancy, and at the end of the event she was going around collecting her glass fossils.

00:10:51.000 –> 00:10:54.000
What the marbles and the fake flowers that you put on every table.

00:10:54.000 –> 00:11:05.000
When she got there, and everyone else had already left, and I was still there packing up my stuff, and I saw her going around and collecting her vases.

00:11:05.000 –> 00:11:14.000
So I said, You know what i’m not gonna let her do it alone. and I went, and I started collecting them, and, you know, helped her.

00:11:14.000 –> 00:11:20.000
Do it, not expecting anything, of course, in return. Maybe a simple thank you would have suffice .

00:11:20.000 –> 00:11:37.000
I mean completely. what is suffice thing? And what ended up happening was that once, Sheila ended up finishing, putting her stuff away. and I but hurt things over to her, too.

00:11:37.000 –> 00:11:57.000
He ended up telling me that she wanted to give me something for helping, and of course, like I said I wasn’t expecting us saying other than thank you, and she ended up giving me an hour massage to a massage place a gift

00:11:57.000 –> 00:12:06.000
card, and she told me. The only thing is that I have to use it myself, and I immediately just broke down.

00:12:06.000 –> 00:12:10.000
Yeah, I literally started crying in front of a perfect stranger.

00:12:10.000 –> 00:12:14.000
At that time Sheila happens to be a friend of mine.

00:12:14.000 –> 00:12:26.000
Now. but when this happened I did not know her at all and exactly that kind of an idea.

00:12:26.000 –> 00:12:36.000
When you’re so used to giving and the world is just throwing all sorts of lemons at you that you can’t even make lemonade from.

00:12:36.000 –> 00:12:39.000
And then all of a sudden, someone just gives you something and you’re in that position.

00:12:39.000 –> 00:12:46.000
It’s like, How do you start to even deal with that and where do you come from?

00:12:46.000 –> 00:12:53.000
In terms of that. And so the kindness and positivity, aspect of gift, of always giving.

00:12:53.000 –> 00:13:04.000
And then having to accept really becomes a different so and it’s amazing, though when you look at it in that regard Yeah.

00:13:04.000 –> 00:13:07.000
It’s over in fact that’s what I call it.

00:13:07.000 –> 00:13:14.000
You don’t expect anything You just give out of kindness of your heart, and naturally it just comes back to you.

00:13:14.000 –> 00:13:19.000
That’s just how it works and i’m a strong believer in Karma.

00:13:19.000 –> 00:13:25.000
That exact idea, right? what you’re putting out into the universe will eventually come back.

00:13:25.000 –> 00:13:31.000
And it’s actually funny because I don’t know if you use vision boards, you know.

00:13:31.000 –> 00:13:37.000
I’ve heard of them surprisingly i’ve never done an actual vision board.

00:13:37.000 –> 00:13:42.000
But I know the power of visualization. How powerful that is!

00:13:42.000 –> 00:13:46.000
I definitely practice gratitude, and just sitting alone with my thoughts.

00:13:46.000 –> 00:13:52.000
And then, like I said, envisioning my future. I mean that crap works.

00:13:52.000 –> 00:13:54.000
People. Sometimes people think. Oh, it’s just a bunch of like Hope I suppose.

00:13:54.000 –> 00:14:01.000
No, it’s not have you tried it cause it works your mind is extremely powerful.

00:14:01.000 –> 00:14:18.000
It is extremely powerful. And it’s also the vision boards when you do it, the power that it has and what’s funny is yeah to actually be careful about what you put on the vision board, because sometimes that’s going to be the thing

00:14:18.000 –> 00:14:25.000
that’s going to completely throw you through a loop right I mean I have something on my vision board.

00:14:25.000 –> 00:14:42.000
It’s a picture of the bellagio hotel in Vegas, and I said when I put it together, I said I wanted more travel, because up until that point I didn’t have that much travel right I mean I took a vacation a

00:14:42.000 –> 00:14:48.000
couple of years before, where we went to disney for my daughter’s butt mixed up, but that was like the extent of it.

00:14:48.000 –> 00:15:00.000
And then I realized in 2,000, 19,018, when I was going out to Vegas so often, and i’m like, How did this start?

00:15:00.000 –> 00:15:04.000
And then I one day i’m looking at my vision board and it’s like holy Cow.

00:15:04.000 –> 00:15:10.000
It was right there in front of me i’m looking at it every day ’cause it’s literally on the other side of the computer screen.

00:15:10.000 –> 00:15:16.000
It’s like well, and say yes, I mean that whole idea is amazing.

00:15:16.000 –> 00:15:19.000
Part of like the Vision Board, is my lock screen.

00:15:19.000 –> 00:15:26.000
I have 2 pictures that I see every day so that’s kind of like my mini little vision board.

00:15:26.000 –> 00:15:36.000
But I I should make one for for my own life as Well, i’ll have to take a picture of my boards and show it to you

00:15:36.000 –> 00:15:42.000
Just to give you an idea i’ve got 2 boards literally sitting right here.

00:15:42.000 –> 00:15:49.000
On the other side of the screen. Well, go from there.

00:15:49.000 –> 00:16:11.000
So, bria let me ask you though as you look forward right? I mean you’re graduating, and you know within the year, and you’ve got huge plans in terms of where you’re gonna be if you look out let’s say

00:16:11.000 –> 00:16:16.000
the next 12 to 18 months, where do you think you’re going to be Hmm.

00:16:16.000 –> 00:16:32.000
So there’s something that I can’t get talked about but for let’s see for my personal brand that is something that you know when people come to my linkedin they already see my mission statement as you mentioned in my

00:16:32.000 –> 00:16:40.000
bio is, I empower young individuals to unlock their full potential by making wise decisions.

00:16:40.000 –> 00:16:43.000
And then that header you see i’m a voice for my generation.

00:16:43.000 –> 00:16:47.000
That’s something that I feel has been my calling for the past year.

00:16:47.000 –> 00:17:02.000
I kind of woke up and realized like Oh, I think this is what I meant to be doing in life, and there’s so many things that you can do on social media, and I feel like, if you’re not using it to your advantage.

00:17:02.000 –> 00:17:15.000
At this point, which ultimately helps others as well what do you doing. That’s that’s another big piece of what i’m telling, cause it’s like guys hop on linkedin get off tiktok in instagram the mindless

00:17:15.000 –> 00:17:21.000
scrolling, you know. do something beneficial. Get on, Linkedin, and I tell them all about.

00:17:21.000 –> 00:17:28.000
But you know as I again for that personal brand i’m going to be dropping my content in the future.

00:17:28.000 –> 00:17:35.000
Right Now I do have to think about what is sustainable which is why I’m not yet with school full time, job everything already.

00:17:35.000 –> 00:17:51.000
It’s a lot, but you know I will be posting content. and then the future go off in all these different branches, and you know i’ll probably be doing some coaching and just doing a lot of things to help different people

00:17:51.000 –> 00:18:01.000
and after you know college i’ll be able to be talking more about what I’m doing for my other type of job.

00:18:01.000 –> 00:18:14.000
But that’s kind of like hush hush right now, so that that is life after after college and that is incredible.

00:18:14.000 –> 00:18:25.000
I mean just having the idea can’t do this now because of and that goes back to what you’re originally saying with the boundaries.

00:18:25.000 –> 00:18:41.000
You know exactly what you kind of cannot do and it’s better than doing it. i’m doing it this way I’m doing it that way. and you also mentioned before consistency, which is really key right, because if you’re going to

00:18:41.000 –> 00:18:46.000
do something. it’s got to be consistent for those of you that have been listening to this show for so long.

00:18:46.000 –> 00:19:07.000
You know that every week we drop another show every tuesday and that’s exactly the idea is consistent, and it means sometimes content has to be develop specifically when we don’t have our guests and other times, it’s when we do have our

00:19:07.000 –> 00:19:21.000
guesses a lot easier to just schedule a all out and get that there where we are, really becomes that much more important with consistency and with boundaries like you just said So that is incredible.

00:19:21.000 –> 00:19:33.000
When you think I mean again, some people go decades in the business world before they realize that they need a lot more.

00:19:33.000 –> 00:19:46.000
That consistent effort in the boundaries. so it’s great that You’ve got that now, and I mean to be just a fly in your mind must be incredible.

00:19:46.000 –> 00:19:52.000
You know it’s under understand what’s really there and kinda figure out, you know.

00:19:52.000 –> 00:20:00.000
Look under the hood. she’s really got this and I mean yeah, yeah.

00:20:00.000 –> 00:20:05.000
And not one more thing, too, just to, you know, a helpful tip for kids.

00:20:05.000 –> 00:20:09.000
My ages. it’s okay, if you don’t have it all figured out.

00:20:09.000 –> 00:20:14.000
I mean i’m sure even you me like we don’t always have everything. I’ll figure it out.

00:20:14.000 –> 00:20:18.000
But that’s the beautiful thing about life is you figure it out as you go.

00:20:18.000 –> 00:20:24.000
Oh, I really enjoy doing this. i’m gonna stick to that oh, not my best move over here.

00:20:24.000 –> 00:20:31.000
Okay, we live and we we learn, you know. So no, completely.

00:20:31.000 –> 00:20:41.000
It is all live and learn. I want to pivot a little bit, and I want to talk about this event that we’re going to be doing.

00:20:41.000 –> 00:20:59.000
Hi, and it is going to be a really incredible event, and we have to thank Rachel Beck, who has been another guest on this show for putting us together, and for really connecting us in that regard and having the foresight

00:20:59.000 –> 00:21:12.000
on her part to say yes, I mean it’s 3 of us along with our fourth partner will sullivan is I mean it’s going to be an incredible event.

00:21:12.000 –> 00:21:24.000
And, if you are listening and you are in the New York city area on November tenth, 2022, you’re definitely going to want to check out this event.

00:21:24.000 –> 00:21:30.000
But I wanna talk about the event with you for a second, I mean.

00:21:30.000 –> 00:21:35.000
We came out with the idea, kindness and positivity as a focus.

00:21:35.000 –> 00:21:51.000
And we also did it through a multi-generational perspective. and I think it’s clear when we started talking before you and I are not of the same generation, even though well last night lumped us in the same one which was right

00:21:51.000 –> 00:22:01.000
we’re close enough, whatever you know yes, you know we totally are.

00:22:01.000 –> 00:22:06.000
I mean I love. when people like yeah you’re much younger, you know.

00:22:06.000 –> 00:22:16.000
I mean what woman doesn’t but yeah no I it’s gonna be amazing.

00:22:16.000 –> 00:22:22.000
We’re targeting different generations in every demographic and like we were talking about last night.

00:22:22.000 –> 00:22:30.000
We’re going to be providing all this value to people of all ages, and we’ve all been and done different things.

00:22:30.000 –> 00:22:33.000
So it’s really gonna be an event that hasn’t been done before.

00:22:33.000 –> 00:22:41.000
You know I personally have seen nothing like this before so that’s at the heart of it is kindness and positivity.

00:22:41.000 –> 00:22:54.000
But it’s a generational success movement exactly so tell us more though I mean the kindness and positivity and the generational success movement.

00:22:54.000 –> 00:23:07.000
I wanted to first of all, explain the generational success movement, and it was a group idea when we came up with that name.

00:23:07.000 –> 00:23:12.000
But I want to get your take. What does that mean to you?

00:23:12.000 –> 00:23:20.000
Yeah, I mean It means you kind of break it down right generational there’s me there’s you Rachel, will We’re all at different points.

00:23:20.000 –> 00:23:32.000
We’re all different cultures. ethnicities religions everything. So we’re coming together like you mentioned previously in a world that’s just really divided.

00:23:32.000 –> 00:23:37.000
There’s so much negativity going on right now, we want to come together after the elections.

00:23:37.000 –> 00:23:52.000
No matter what happens, and just say that hey we’re all here together, spreading love and kindness, and we want you to be a part of that journey with us, and the generational success is touching on your never too young or too old

00:23:52.000 –> 00:23:55.000
to accomplish your dreams in life. You know you.

00:23:55.000 –> 00:24:05.000
You hear? Jk: rolling and all these different people in their upper 50 sixties, even the eighties doing things that, you know they want to do.

00:24:05.000 –> 00:24:09.000
You’re never too young or too old to accomplish those things in life.

00:24:09.000 –> 00:24:19.000
So that’s I believe, is what is at the heart of this, and you know, just being being successful in life has no looked.

00:24:19.000 –> 00:24:36.000
It really does come down to like. We talked to the boundaries, the discipline, the persistence, and those key factors as a person. and that is a great answer which brings me, then, to my other question: If you look today?

00:24:36.000 –> 00:24:41.000
What do you? What is your definition of success? Hmm.

00:24:41.000 –> 00:24:51.000
So I believe it’s gonna look different for each and every end of and it’s totally up to you whatever success means.

00:24:51.000 –> 00:25:00.000
But you know it’s that’s a good question I know some people have like a specific answer. Mine is more broad.

00:25:00.000 –> 00:25:10.000
It really does, you know, man, this is this this was stumping me a little bit you share with you.

00:25:10.000 –> 00:25:15.000
That that’s actually what my keynote Address is all about my keynote is to success.

00:25:15.000 –> 00:25:27.000
Equate to happiness. and i’m always interested in knowing how people define success? Because I’ve heard so many different answers to that very question.

00:25:27.000 –> 00:25:34.000
And why are I asked. The question of you was right. Now, what is your definition?

00:25:34.000 –> 00:25:50.000
Because what I can tell you is that if you look today, and you look 5 years from now. the definition is most likely not going to be anywhere right, cause I could give you multiple answers honestly.

00:25:50.000 –> 00:25:58.000
That’s Why? i’m stumped on this one because it’s no one thing for me Success is the repetition of your habits in life.

00:25:58.000 –> 00:26:04.000
It’s things that you’ve looked like you thought could never even be possible.

00:26:04.000 –> 00:26:13.000
It’s helping others like that’s that’s my point is there’s so many different things that make me feel like Wow, i’m doing really good things right now.

00:26:13.000 –> 00:26:20.000
In the world. I am successful. it’s not you know it and it may be, Hey, I drive the Lamborghini.

00:26:20.000 –> 00:26:29.000
I have this 1 million dollar house that may be what success looks like for some people, but it’s all these different things for me.

00:26:29.000 –> 00:26:48.000
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, Each person success like I was saying a moment ago, basically on what their circumstances are, and it’s always if you think about it, what is it mean?

00:26:48.000 –> 00:26:54.000
Once I reach a certain level of success. In other words, I get that 1 million dollar home.

00:26:54.000 –> 00:26:57.000
I drive that Lamborghini? Then what right?

00:26:57.000 –> 00:27:17.000
Right, and that needle is always moving to allow me to get to some other level of success. Because if you think about it in business, right, one thing in business, every business owner wants to make a 1 million dollars, that’s for some reason

00:27:17.000 –> 00:27:23.000
that’s that magic number that every entrepreneur has in mind. First 1 million that they’re making every year.

00:27:23.000 –> 00:27:39.000
That’s the number in their mind and sometimes They make a 1 million and they keep 6, 7, $800,000. Yeah, Sometimes they make a 1 million, and they’re only keeping 30 $40,000.

00:27:39.000 –> 00:27:45.000
And there’s that vanity. Then that just comes in Oh, yeah, i’m making a 1 million dollars i’m good.

00:27:45.000 –> 00:27:53.000
But then the profit really is the key right? I mean the overall revenue feeds our ego.

00:27:53.000 –> 00:28:01.000
Profit is what feeds our family, and that kinda is in that regard with the success.

00:28:01.000 –> 00:28:05.000
But we look at that 1 million dollars. But then, what right? Where do we go from there?

00:28:05.000 –> 00:28:09.000
What does it mean? What does it mean to the people around us?

00:28:09.000 –> 00:28:12.000
What does it mean to our community and that’s why I love what I do?

00:28:12.000 –> 00:28:17.000
Because i’m always helping my community when I or their community when I help my clients.

00:28:17.000 –> 00:28:32.000
So if you think about it in that regard right with this event that we’re going to be doing, I mean we’re going to be sharing a lot of ideas, because part of it is going to be that panel conversation with you

00:28:32.000 –> 00:28:42.000
Rachel. Well, and me, where we’re going to be discussing some of these success ideas, some of these kindness and positivity thoughts.

00:28:42.000 –> 00:28:49.000
And what really is going to be moving the needle for some of our attendees.

00:28:49.000 –> 00:28:58.000
But we’re also focused on relationships and my let says you’re only one relationship away from your next 1 million dollars.

00:28:58.000 –> 00:29:05.000
It’s very it really is having that connection who is that one person.

00:29:05.000 –> 00:29:12.000
And so that’s really one of the focuses that we really want to be paying attention to at this event.

00:29:12.000 –> 00:29:32.000
Yes, yeah. And so when we look through where we’re going and what it is that we’re trying to do there’s so many opportunities out there that we really want to be in a position to take advantage of sabrell i’m

00:29:32.000 –> 00:29:41.000
gonna call you out for a second and i’m going to ask you What is the opportunity that you want to get from the event from the event for me?

00:29:41.000 –> 00:29:49.000
Personally, i’ve realized that I really love speaking I can talk and talk and talk all day, but I also love listening.

00:29:49.000 –> 00:29:58.000
So that’s also a very important factor. but public speaking is definitely something that I’m going to get more involved with be doing.

00:29:58.000 –> 00:30:05.000
Speaking events over the years. So for me personally I feel like that is the most valuable thing is it’s just practice.

00:30:05.000 –> 00:30:09.000
It’s again getting myself out there because how are you going to be known for what you do in the world.

00:30:09.000 –> 00:30:18.000
If you don’t get yourself out there and again, it’s just sharing my knowledge and my value with the world and targeting kids.

00:30:18.000 –> 00:30:27.000
My age. Hey, listen up. This is why I am who I am today, and how I got here, and i’m helping you for free.

00:30:27.000 –> 00:30:34.000
So hopefully, you will take some some value away from our conversation that we have.

00:30:34.000 –> 00:30:40.000
Okay, Yes, and I love how you say it’s not just speaking is listening.

00:30:40.000 –> 00:30:54.000
Yes, and that was actually one of the key training points. Years ago, when I went through my juvenile Conference Committee training as part of the New Jersey judiciary.

00:30:54.000 –> 00:31:08.000
There’s a group called juvenile Conference Committee, which for like a better way of saying it is when kids commit a bozo activity instead of being adjudicated against because in the

00:31:08.000 –> 00:31:12.000
juvenile court system. they’re not tried it’s a judiciary.

00:31:12.000 –> 00:31:29.000
They can avoid being in front of a judge and they can go in front of a committee who, instead of determining guilt or innocence, can figure out how to port unquote scare the kids straight into doing something better But they’re not gonna end

00:31:29.000 –> 00:31:40.000
up in prison or have a record, or when completing college financial aid forms with the question where you’ve ever ever adjudicated against, they can say, no right.

00:31:40.000 –> 00:31:49.000
We watched the I admin and castello but who’s on first. This was really important, and you know we’re thinking comedy.

00:31:49.000 –> 00:31:56.000
Who’s on first video who’s on first what’s on second, Anyone that’s ever seen that you know it’s really a funny bit.

00:31:56.000 –> 00:32:05.000
But it’s really just as important to listen and not only speak and so I love how you said it’s not just the speaking.

00:32:05.000 –> 00:32:17.000
It’s the listening that really is equally important and sometimes I would wager that it’s even more important than speaking, because somebody may not be saying everything.

00:32:17.000 –> 00:32:37.000
But if you’re listening to what it is that they are saying, you can very often figure out what they’re not saying to when they’re making those statements exactly yeah, I definitely yeah, I definitely agree, I know some individuals in the past

00:32:37.000 –> 00:32:44.000
who i’m trying to have a conversation with and they Just cut off, cut off, cut off, and you start to you know. Raise your voice.

00:32:44.000 –> 00:32:56.000
It’s like i’m talking here like i’m trying to get my point across, or you just end up like, Okay, Then you you you sit and talk, and then when they ask you something it’s like, you just kind of sit there cause like Oh.

00:32:56.000 –> 00:33:10.000
i’m sorry you’re pretty done though but the power of listening, especially in business, is crucial for your success, because, like you said, I don’t know It’s it’s even more important than the than the talking.

00:33:10.000 –> 00:33:30.000
Aspect, because people want to hear heard they wanna hear validated and if you’re just talking to me talking, you don’t get that, and that, I think is one of the faults of technology also in terms of cutting people off I know Sometimes when we’ve

00:33:30.000 –> 00:33:41.000
had our zoom calls or we’ve had phone calls for whatever reason technology, there’s always a lab yeah that leg gets really interesting.

00:33:41.000 –> 00:33:59.000
And when you’re trying to avoid cutting people off or speaking over them, and it’s like well can I speak can I know it’s so it’s funny, But I think that that made people I think in the last couple

00:33:59.000 –> 00:34:14.000
of years, anyway, more open to interrupting even in real life. just because we got so used to technology where we needed to do that, because in order for somebody to know it was my turn to speak How do you get in there especially on a

00:34:14.000 –> 00:34:24.000
zoom. it’s like you got a meeting at least if you’re in a physical room in school kids were raised in their hands, and it was easy to know the teacher calls on that person.

00:34:24.000 –> 00:34:32.000
But when you are in zoom who’s looking at who Yeah, I don’t know who’s speaking right? right?

00:34:32.000 –> 00:34:57.000
No, I know I I agree as we wrap up our conversation, though, Brill, you are so incredible, just in terms of the thought process. and where you are at such a young age. to be at this point, I mean that is incredible and like I said

00:34:57.000 –> 00:35:06.000
kudos to you for having a foresight to be in a position to really understand and figure out.

00:35:06.000 –> 00:35:18.000
How to start going from there. So before we do wrap up, though, I want to ask, how can people find out more about you?

00:35:18.000 –> 00:35:33.000
So, as I mentioned Linkedin, I am not active on other social media platforms as a right now, maybe in the future, but they can connect with me on Linkedin Brillo Woolen house and when I do post content in the

00:35:33.000 –> 00:35:36.000
future they’ll be able to see and you know engage in all that.

00:35:36.000 –> 00:35:45.000
You know how much I engage on linkedin So again the reciprocal relationships here. it’s the the given and take.

00:35:45.000 –> 00:36:00.000
But yeah, i’m very active on There and That’s great, and if you are not yet connected with Braille, definitely reach out, tell her that you heard her on the Mojo the meeting of life in business.

00:36:00.000 –> 00:36:05.000
Show that she knows how you actually came to her. and

00:36:05.000 –> 00:36:11.000
Give a good shout out if you are connected, and just say, Hi!

00:36:11.000 –> 00:36:16.000
On that note. This has been another episode of MOJO.

00:36:16.000 –> 00:36:33.000
The Meaning of Life and Business. Brielle, thank you so much for being my guest. And until next time, here’s to your success.
